Tim Paquette recently completed training from PMII and now holds the certificates; CCMI, CMI, CMR. Recently, one of our valued customers reached out to us because, despite a plumber having taken care of a leak, there was still an alarming amount of water trapped in the walls and soaking into the carpet. This unfortunate situation was due to hidden cracks in the ABS pipes that were responsible for draining water from both the sink and dishwasher. To ensure safety and prevent further issues, Golden Colorado Handyman took the extra measure of safeguarding the surrounding areas by effectively containing the work area from the rest of the house. We strategically placed an air scrubber in the workspace to create negative pressure, which is crucial in preventing any mold spores from spreading, thus keeping everything contained to this specific area. We carefully removed all porous materials, placed them in heavy-duty plastic bags, and disposed of them properly. The area was then thoroughly cleaned using Hydrogen Peroxide, an EPA registered fungicide and a HEPA filter vacuum to ensure all traces of mold were eradicated. Once the plumber returned to replace the damaged ABS pipes, we meticulously restored the closet to its original condition.
